30A-opoly, a property trading game featuring 75+ local scenic route 30A businesses as elements of the game, receives nationwide interest for the Florida Panhandle’s white sandy beach towns from vacationers who call 30A their “second home.” The game will be available for purchase at 20 plus 30A retailers starting mid-December. With interest reaching a fevered pitch, within 24 hours of releasing the product image for pre-orders in retail stores and online, some retailers have doubled initial orders to keep up with nationwide interest via social media promotions.
“30A-opoly shows tremendous promise to provide locals and tourists alike with a fun way to experience our little stretch of beach heaven,” said Linda White, owner of Sundog Books for 26 years. “We are ecstatic to have the 30A-opoly game for purchase as holiday gifts and for the upcoming Spring Break and Summer seasons, but also love that players can ‘buy’ their favorite book store while playing the game!”
30A-opoly has 26 board properties featuring beloved restaurants as such as Amavida Coffee, Onano Neighborhood Café, The Red Bar, Stinky’s Fish Camp and V Seagrove along with many favorite shops on 30A like Duckies Shop of Fun, Fitz and Emme, Gigi’s Fashions and Fabulous Kids’ Gifts, Little Red, Ophelia Swimwear Boutique and Yellowfin Ocean Sports. All elements of the game are 100% Emerald Coast from the properties on the board, to the businesses featured on the draw cards. Players will “Collect $200 As You GO TO THE BEACH” to start the game and when landing on RAINY DAY AT THE BEACH, go to the penalty box and loose a turn. The tokens of the game include icons such as a surf board, a bike and a dolphin.
The money tray even features real estate companies— because when players go the bank to buy a property they will need a 30A realtor, right?— and property management companies incase the players want a company to manage their ‘opoly’ properties. The game elements are true to business on the Emerald Coast. Property management companies 360 Blue, Oversee Rentals, Premier Beach Retreats and Sunburst Beach Vacations purchased a bulk order of games to place in all rental management homes on 30A as a delightful perk to vacationers.
John Finch, owner of Sunshine Shuttle and Limousine, a parent of The Tree House and a member of Christ the King Episcopal Church, whose business is featured as a property in the game says it best: “This fundraising effort is an amazing marketing opportunity for small businesses that exist because of the visiting population to South Walton. With 30A-opoly, my business reaches a captive audience nationwide and will have a shelf life for years to come. And with proceeds benefitting education in Santa Rosa Beach, it’s win-win for all involved!”
