With a down economy, Global Vision Group is growing quickly. Through their management training program, they have already promoted 3 new managers and expanded into several new markets in 2013 alone. Right now Global Vision Group is on track to promote five more managers before the end of the year.
Global Vision Group is an in-store marketing company with the goal to provide client acquisition services for a wide range of satellite, home entertainment and communications clients. Their clients have a huge presence in some of the world’s largest retailers. Because of their success locally, their clients are pushing Global Vision Group to expand nationwide. In order to be successful at this they developed a management training program to develop their top people into Executive Level Managers. “We realized that when we invest in our own team members that we have some of the most successful managers in the country” States Ahmad, the manager. He continues by saying “An important key to our growth is the strength of our management training program. Our management training program is simple, everyone starts from the same spot no matter what your background or experience is.” Global Vision Group has two fundamentals in their training, 100% no seniority and 100% promotion from within for the right person.
Global Vision Group now has managers in Baltimore, Miami, Cleveland and Akron, Oh. Clearly their training program is not only working, but is exceeding their expectations. They have their top trainers attend quarterly conferences in Dallas to help them train their best and brightest. Once a person has completed training they are invited to attend a new manager meeting followed by a meeting of all managers nationwide. When asked about their training Ahmad states, “We feel you can’t coach a sport you can’t play and by following that philosophy we continue to set our managers up for success.”
