Chicago Marketing’s manager Jacob understands the importance of promotion from within the company. A native from the outskirts of Atlanta, Jacob played professional Hockey. Four years ago Jacob started with the company with the goal of growing within the ranks. This year alone Chicago Marketing has expanded into seven new locations with seven new market managers getting promoted. Their most recent manager, Andrew, from Oak Park, IL, just opened up the Rockford, IL /Janesville, WI market. Andrew was only with the company six and a half months in the management training program before he was promoted into an upper level manager position. With a goal of three more new market expansions and maintaining a top three spot in the country, Chicago Marketing has a need for more upper level managers.
With leadership and management development conferences throughout the year, Chicago Marketing understands the importance of investing in their team. Just recently Chicago Marketing sent Jerred and John to a leadership conference in Dallas, TX all expenses paid to develop their skills. Jacob. Andrew, Jeff and Troy just returned from a manager’s conference. Troy is preparing to run the Northbrook/ Evanston, IL market after being with the company only 8 months. Jacob believes in helping the team get the same opportunities that he was given when he began with the company and lives by a firm philosophy of growth from within.
The management training program that Chicago Marketing has developed introduces employees into different levels of leadership responsibility, human resources training, coaching, team building and client acquisitions. “The MIT program gives our team both hard and soft skills that they can directly correlate not only in our business but also daily life. We give our employees a chance to develop at their own rate into a management position; the investment into our people is the key. Our clients need us to grow at this rate in order to meet their demand we need well trained managers to help us with our expansion responsibilities” states Jacob. When asked what qualities Chicago Marketing looks for in a potential manager Jacob said the most important attributes are a positive attitude, good work ethic, self-motivated and a student mentality.
It’s not a surprise that Chicago Marketing is able to exceed their client’s expectations and to develop managers from within. Chicago Marketing just took their top trainees from each marketing campaign to a Cubs game and they were treated to box seats, food and a good old American time. At the end of October, Chicago Marketing is taking over 30 team members & significant others with them to Jamaica for an all expense trip to relax for a year of hard work. With a management training program geared to develop an entry level representative into a manager in months, their success is evident.
