The Super Lawyers Rising Stars Selection Process
Patented by The United States Patent and Trademark Office, the selection process for choosing “Rising Stars” is impartial and stated by the organization to demonstrate relevance for attorneys and consumers alike. Attorneys from more than 70 legal practice areas are considered for candidacy.
Julie Gleason, the Director of Research at Super Lawyers has said of the process, “We are honored to have a recently granted U.S. patent relating to lawyer-ratings. We take our credibility very seriously, and having a patent assures our customers that we strive to be innovation leaders in our area.”
Per the eligibility requirements for inclusion in Rising Stars a candidate must be 40 years or younger or in practice for no more than 10 years. Candidates are nominated by their peers and then validated through independent research across multiple different categories.
