The Chrysler 300 is no stranger to Ward’s 10 Best Interiors, but a refresh for the 2015 model year has placed the flagship sedan on the prestigious list once again. Lauded for its high-quality leather and high-tech features, the new 2015 Chrysler 300C Platinum was selected by WardsAuto editors for 2015, following in the footsteps of the Chrysler 300 Luxury Series, which made the publication’s 10 Best Interiors list in 2012.
Packed with ultra-premium materials, the Chrysler 300C Platinum boasts quilted Nappa leather on its seats and door panels, while Foligno leather with French accent stitching adorns its instrumental panel and the sides of its center console. Matching the cabin’s two-tone look, an Indigo/Linen leather-wrapped steering wheel is hand-stitched and heated, pulled together by a chrome ring accent. Like all 2015 Chrysler 300 sedans, the top-trim model sports a new 7-inch full-color driver information display that impressed WardsAuto with its soothing blue ambient light, as well as an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen and a class-exclusive rotary transmission shifter.
“Regardless of the Chrysler 300 model that you choose, you’re going to find high-end materials and features that are typically reserved for luxury sedans that cost thousands of dollars more,” said Tim Parker, dealer principal of Tim Parker Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, a Chrysler dealership in Hot Springs, Arkansas. “Not to mention the car’s exterior styling makes the bold statement that Chrysler 300 owners don’t blindly follow the European conventions of what a beautiful luxury vehicle should look like.”
For the 2015 model year, the Chrysler 300 received a more sculpted front fascia and a taller grille that wears a prominent Chrysler wing badge and is surrounded by chrome trim. Integrated C-shaped LED daytime running lights provide additional Chrysler-specific cues, and buyers can further customize the sedan’s unique styling by choosing from seven new wheel designs that range in size from 17 inches to 20 inches. In the rear, halo-like LED taillights, a horizontal chrome trim piece and a pair of polished exhaust tips positioned at either side of the vehicle complete the sophisticated look.
